Lighthouse Photo Contest: Shine Through the Lens
6th Korea Lighthouse Photo Contest — Submit your best lighthouse shot by May 16
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (Minister Kang Do-hyung) announced the launch of the 6th Korea Lighthouse Photo Contest, inviting the public to capture the beauty and significance of Korean lighthouses from April 11 to May 16.


Open to all citizens with an interest in lighthouses, the contest encourages participants to photograph Korean lighthouses that showcase their aesthetic charm and symbolic value.
Entries must be submitted through the official contest website (등대공모전.com) by May 16.
All submitted works will undergo expert evaluation and plagiarism checks, with the final winners scheduled to be announced on June 11.

A total of 16 winners will be selected, including one Grand Prize recipient who will receive the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Award and a ₩3 million cash prize.
The Grand Prize will be awarded during the World Lighthouse Day ceremony to be held on July 2 in Jeju Island.
Minister Kang encouraged participation, stating that he hopes the contest will help people rediscover the value of Korea’s lighthouses and enjoy the opportunity for national recognition.
