Gochang Green Barley Field Festival 2025
Walk Through Waves of Green in Gochang — The nation’s most scenic barley fields await
The scenic fields of Gochang have once again turned into a vast sea of vibrant green, welcoming visitors to the 2025 Gochang Green Barley Field Festival.

Taking place from April 19 to May 11, this beloved spring celebration unfolds across approximately 770,000 square meters of lush farmland in Hagwon Farm, Gong-eum-myeon, Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do Special Self-Governing Province.

Since its inaugural edition in 2004, the festival has grown into one of Korea’s foremost agritourism events, drawing an average of 300,000 visitors annually.
It showcases the breathtaking beauty of barley fields at their greenest — the so-called “cheongbori” period, when the crops are in their most enchanting phase of growth.
This year’s festival continues to highlight the harmony between agriculture and ecology, inviting guests to enjoy leisurely walks along trails that wind through the barley fields, and to participate in cultural performances and local events.
The immersive natural backdrop, often likened to scenes from a movie, offers endless photo opportunities and a tranquil retreat from daily life.
Admission is free of charge, making it an ideal spring outing for families, couples, and photography enthusiasts alike.
