Experience the Beauty of East and West at the Byeokchoji Chrysanthemum Festival

The 2024 Byeokchoji Arboretum Autumn Chrysanthemum Festival is being held from September 21 to November 17 at Byeokchoji Arboretum in Paju, Gyeonggi Province.

The arboretum, which beautifully combines Eastern and Western garden styles, presents this autumn’s festival under the themes of excitement, mythology, adventure, freedom, contemplation, and inspiration.

A total of 29 small gardens have been decorated with chrysanthemums and various other autumn flowers, offering visitors a unique garden experience.

In particular, the Queen’s Garden is adorned with magnificent chrysanthemum sculptures in the “Excitement” area, while over 30 species of grasses and other plants blend harmoniously in the “Freedom” area, showcasing nature’s diversity.

The newly opened “Mythology” area, called Malliseong Garden, will transport visitors to a European palace garden, providing a unique and immersive garden journey.

Additionally, the arboretum’s flower garden offers chrysanthemum displays, plant sales, and planting experiences.

The gallery hosts the “Byeokchoji Photography Exhibition,” where visitors can view photos capturing the arboretum’s beauty across the four seasons.

During the festival, visitors can also take memorable photos at the chrysanthemum-filled Flower Hill photo spot.

The festival offers more than just flowers. The award-winning Botani Brunch Café, recognized in the Italian cuisine category by the KCIA, serves a variety of dishes such as pizza and pasta. The food court, “Munch Munch,” provides a selection of snacks and beverages for visitors of all ages, enhancing the overall festival experience.

Tickets are priced at 10,500 KRW for adults, 8,500 KRW for teenagers, seniors, and people with disabilities, and 7,500 KRW for children. Admission is free for children under 36 months.
