Goesan Organic Hub Hosts the Red Pepper Festival

The 2024 Goesan Red Pepper Festival is set to take place from August 29 to September 1 at 113 Imggeokjeong-ro in Goesan County, Chungcheongbuk-do.

This year’s festival, themed “Hot & Cool,” promises to offer a variety of programs to help attendees beat the summer heat while celebrating the region’s renowned red peppers.

The festival, a cultural tourism event that combines Goesan’s signature red peppers with local culture, features organic farming-related programs that reflect Goesan’s identity as an organic agriculture hub. Key events include “Find the Golden Pepper,” “Spicy Pepper Smash,” and the “Organic Goesan Music Festival.”

“Find the Golden Pepper” is a popular event where participants search for hidden golden peppers, a crowd favorite each year. “Spicy Pepper Smash” is an interactive program designed to help attendees relieve stress, drawing enthusiastic responses from visitors. The “Organic Goesan Music Festival” features performances by local artists, adding to the festive atmosphere.
