Seoul, Spring in Full Bloom at Yeouido
Cherry Blossoms and Art Unite at the 2025 Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival in Seoul
The 2025 Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival, one of Seoul’s signature spring celebrations, is currently underway from Tuesday, April 8 to Saturday, April 12 along the scenic Yeouiseo-ro area in Yeongdeungpo District.

Each spring, more than 1,886 cherry trees and 87,859 spring flowers across 13 varieties—such as azaleas, forsythias, and royal azaleas—bloom in Yeouido, creating a breathtaking floral spectacle.

Since its launch in 2005, the festival has grown into one of South Korea’s most beloved spring events, set against the backdrop of the wide-open Hangang River.
This year’s festival, themed “Garden for All,” offers a vibrant mix of cultural programs, including live performances, exhibitions, interactive experiences, and spring-themed installations designed to delight visitors of all ages.
Highlights of the event include a grand opening parade, the Spring Flower Stage, and street busking performances, all taking place across Yeouiseo-ro and the nearby Hangang Park.
Art lovers can enjoy curated exhibitions at Art Cubes featuring local artists, while hands-on experiences and weekend pop-up events invite families and tourists to engage with the festival in new ways.
The festival also features Instagrammable photo zones, sponsored pop-up gardens, and a cafe zone, including a gourmet garden experience in partnership with The Hyundai and the riverside “Cherry Blossom Cafe.”
New this year are special programs such as a discount fair (Yeongdeungpo Spring Flower Sale Festa) and an inclusive guided tour for the visually impaired, reinforcing the festival’s commitment to accessibility and community engagement.
Traffic restrictions are in place on Yeouiseo-ro from April 6 (Sunday) to April 13 (Sunday) to ensure a safe and immersive festival experience.
Organized by Yeongdeungpo District and the Yeongdeungpo Cultural Foundation, the event is supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the National Assembly, and major sponsors including Woori Bank, Hanwha Life, IKEA Korea, Kakao Mobility, The Hyundai, and more.
An event spokesperson noted, “We hope citizens will embrace the essence of spring and culture at the Yeouido Spring Flower Festival. It’s a space where art, nature, and community come together to create unforgettable memories.”
