Explore Tongyeong Historic Nightscape at the Heritage Night Event

The 2025 Tongyeong National Heritage Night Event, one of Tongyeong’s signature cultural festivals, will take place from May 3 to May 4 across Tongyeong Samdosugun Tongjeyeong and surrounding areas.

The event offers nighttime performances, exhibitions, and interactive experiences that highlight the rich 300-year history and traditional culture rooted in the city’s national heritage sites.

This year’s festival will showcase a variety of nighttime attractions, blending traditional culture with modern lighting and performances to create a new paradigm for night tourism.

The event aims not only to celebrate Tongyeong’s identity but also to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy by linking cultural heritage with tourism.

Key programs include:

Call of Tongyeong: Special planned performances.

Resonance of Tongyeong: Opening performance and illumination exhibits.

Craft of Tongyeong: Exhibitions and hands-on experiences with Tongyeong’s twelve traditional crafts.

Dance of Tongyeong: Experiences showcasing national intangible cultural heritage in performing arts.

Additional programs feature immersive performances, storytelling tours, traditional costume experiences, nighttime landscape lighting displays, martial arts and archery trials, and traditional table setting experiences.

The event is free and open to the public. It is organized by the Tongyeong Hansan Battle Cultural Foundation and will be held throughout the Tongyeong Samdosugun Tongjeyeong and adjacent streets.
