Vertical Marathon: Challenge the Sky at Lotte World Tower

Climb 123 floors and 2,917 stairs in Korea’s tallest vertical marathon

The annual Lotte World Tower Sky Run, a vertical marathon reaching the highest heights in Korea, will return on April 20, 2025, inviting participants to test their endurance by racing up 2,917 stairs to the 123rd floor of the iconic Lotte World Tower in Seoul.

Hosted by Lotte World Tower, this one-of-a-kind sporting event is more than just a race — it is a celebration of personal challenge, resilience, and achievement. Open to the public with a registration fee of 50,000 KRW, the Sky Run combines athletic spirit with meaningful giving.

All proceeds from the entry fees will be donated to the Bobath Children’s Rehabilitation Center, Korea’s first pediatric rehabilitation hospital, supporting the healthy growth and development of children in need.

The race is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. and will continue throughout the day until 6:00 p.m. at Lotte World Tower and Arena Plaza, located at 300 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

Registration opened on March 19 and will close on March 20 or once capacity is reached, as spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Sky Run has grown into one of Seoul’s most anticipated athletic events, known for pushing physical boundaries and delivering a unique experience above the city skyline.

With its elevation of 555 meters, the Lotte World Tower serves as a breathtaking stage for both seasoned runners and ambitious first-timers seeking an extraordinary challenge.

Participants are reminded that only one person may register per ID, and ticket transfers or proxy participation are strictly prohibited.
