Welcoming Spring in a Golden Wave! – Gurye Cornelian Cherry Festival to Open from March 15-23

The 2025 Gurye Cornelian Cherry Blossom Festival, one of South Korea’s most renowned spring flower festivals, will take place from March 15 to March 23 in Gurye, Jeollanam-do.

As one of the first flowers to bloom in March, cornelian cherry blossoms symbolize the arrival of spring. This year’s festival will be held under the theme “Eternal and Unchanging Love”, reflecting the flower’s meaning.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of interactive experiences, cultural performances, and musical events throughout the festival.

The event will open with the “Bountiful Harvest Prayer Ceremony”, followed by an exciting opening concert featuring Na Tae-joo, Im Chang-jung, Jang Ye-ju, and Lee Jeong-ok.

Other attractions include the Cornelian Cherry Fruit Peeling Contest, Children’s Archery Experience, Cornelian Cherry Blossom Walking Trail, and Busking Performances titled Spring Fragrance, Love Flower, and Cornelian Cherry.
