Experience the Art of Silence at the Chuncheon Mime Festival 2025

The 2025 Chuncheon Mime Festival, one of the world’s top three mime festivals alongside the Mimos Festival in France and the London International Mime Festival in the UK, will take place from May 25 to June 1 in Chuncheon, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province.

Known for its explosive blend of water, fire, movement, and sound, this festival creates a unique genre of “Chuncheon + Mime + Festival” that connects the city, its people, and art through powerful and expressive performances.

This year’s theme is “Body Landscape,” capturing the raw energy of the human form in motion.

The festival will feature a wide range of performances and events, including the signature water-themed “Ah! Water Fest” on Chuncheon Jungang-ro, and the all-night spectacle “Goblin Playground,” where artists and audiences dance together until dawn in a mix of mime, circus, aerial performances, and dance.

Other highlights include the collaborative event “Everyone’s Spring,” the interactive “Walking Mime” along the scenic Seoksacheon Trail, and surprise pop-up performances by the “Goblin Troupe” in everyday spaces throughout the city.

With free admission for most programs, the festival offers an inclusive space where artists and audiences come together to explore the power of movement.
